The first Knives Out movie was unexpectedly good. The second one was a massive disappointment, and this third instalment, unfortunately, is also massively disappointing. The payoff is decent, but isn’t worth the more than two hours of boredom that precedes it!
The film is 90% exposition, which would be fine, if the characters were interesting, or if the situation was compelling, but they aren’t, and the film is just too damn long and unfocused. Also, the character of Benoit Blanc, who is the star of the series, is very much a supporting character, and one that does little more than provide further exposition! Not much more to say really, except it isn’t worth your time.
