Another film I hadn’t seen since the mid 90s, and again, back then, I didn’t think it was anything special.
I enjoyed it much more this time around; maybe my tastes have matured, or I appreciate how difficult it is to make a good film, or it could be, as I’ve said many times already, films are just not that good these days. I listened to Tarantino’s commentary track on the blu-ray, which is definitely worth a listen, and I’m glad Tony Scott changed the ending from the script, as well as the structure. This Director’s cut is an improvement on the theatrical version, as is often the case. It’s a damn good film, and the infamous scene between Denis Hopper and Christopher Walken, only gets better each time you see it. Absolutely go watch this film again!
