The Rocketeer – Monday 10th February 2025

Remarkably, I had never seen this film.

I was very much into Superheroes when it was released, and it just looked too quaint and old-fashioned to pique my interest.

Anyway, I finally got around to watching it, and it was good! Those quaint, old-fashioned sensibilities that repelled me as a kid, are the same reasons the older me enjoyed this film so much.

It’s charming, as is the film’s protagonist. The star of the film, Bill Campbell, did a great job, and I’m surprised he wasn’t in more major movies.

Anyway, if you ache for a simpler time, with old-fashioned adventures, definitely check this film out.
