The Last Boy Scout - Sunday 19th January 2025

I actually watched this film for the first time, having missed it back in the 90’s, despite Shane Black’s (very overrated) reputation.
Then, Tarantino mentioned it in his commentary on True Romance, and said he liked it, so I figured I’d give it a watch…

Ugh. What a mess.

Pretty much typifies big, no brain, Hollywood action movies, with a weak story, cliché characters, and lots of dumb action. Sometimes it’s fun to switch off, and watch that type of movie, but there are so many better options when it comes to that.

Definitely not a classic.
