This is another film that has grown in reputation since it was first released in 1997 (UK release date). I had never seen it, despite being a fan of Michael J. Fox; it just didn’t look like my cup of tea.
Watching it, all these decades later, I have to say, I wasn’t missing much. It’s an OK film, but nothing special. It’s not funny, it’s not scary, but it tries to be both. Even the characters aren’t that likeable. I watched the Director’s cut, so I have no idea what the theatrical version is like, but the supplementary material on the blu-ray is actually very interesting, and more of a draw than the movie itself!
