One Battle After Another – Sunday 28th September 2025

Good film. Too long though. A twenty-five minute cut to the runtime would have really made this film something special.

As it is, it drags and feels bloated in many places. It’s still good though, and as always, major bonus points for offering up something new and original (and not another tired reboot/remake/sequel/prequel)!

The actors were all great, with DiCaprio, Del Toro and Chase Infiniti being the stand-outs!

I also appreciated that the story was about the characters and not the politics that motivate those characters (if only real life was about character and not politics too). The characters are great, and the situations they find themselves in range from terrifying to hilarious!

All in all, a solid film, and definitely worth watching at least once (not sure I could sit through it again; it just felt too long!).
