Narcos Mexico Season 3 - Wednesday 18th September 2024

So I finished Narcos! It is easily my favourite series on Netflix. Also, I think the ‘Mexico’ series is probably best.

Not only is the whole series entertaining, and compelling; but because the stories are based on real people and events, you get a feeling that you’re learning something too. It’s a very well made show, with great characters and high production values.
To date, I’ve never done drugs of any kind, and to be honest, I really don’t know how people do them, knowing how much blood has been spilled, and how much human suffering is involved in getting those drugs into their hands. I’m not trying to judge or cast aspersions; honestly, I’m no saint, but purely from an ethical standpoint, what are the mental gymnastics involved?
But I digress.
I think the show is done now, not that the story doesn’t continue; unfortunately the story of drug lords and those that oppose them, will continue for about as long as human civilization (so another ten years, max!). So if you’re interested in the subject matter, you’re much better off watching this series, as opposed to some Hollywood version. Great stuff!
