Jacobs Ladder - Sunday 29th December 2024

I remember seeing trailers for this back in the 90s, and it never sparked my interest. Since then, it seems to have grown in reputation, so I finally watched it for the first time.

Pretty weird film.

Was it good? Not especially. Credit for being different, but I can't say I particularly enjoyed it. I just didn't empathise with the protagonist, or feel connected to his dilemma.

Similarly, the 'conspiracy' of what was actually happening to him was fairly obvious, and not as gripping as it needed to be.
