I haven’t felt Christmassy for a very long time, and I miss that feeling.
Usually, watching Richard Donner’s ‘Scrooged’ jolts some of those old feelings back to life, but I’ve literally rinsed that film to death. So I finally watched ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’, a film that’s repeated every Christmas, and with good reason, as it’s a Brilliant film! I totally Loved it, and had to choke back the tears at the end, lest I open the floodgates and have a full on breakdown! Unfortunately, my life hasn’t panned out the way I envisioned, but I am EXTREMELY fortunate, and count my blessings daily, because when it comes to friends and family, I really hit the jackpot! As the film reminds us, “No man is a failure who has friends.” A masterpiece, pure and simple.
