Allied - Friday 31st May 2024

So I watched Allied.
I love wartime romance movies, and I really enjoy the movies of Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard and Robert Zemeckis. So, how in the hell did I manage to miss this film when it came out??!!

To the point, I’d never even heard of it until some guy at a networking event told me to watch it a few days earlier.

Obviously, it had all the ingredients I enjoy seeing in a film, so naturally, I enjoyed watching it. I just wish Zemeckis wasn’t so tethered to using Visual FX so heavily. Real locations exist, use them! Especially when it comes to exteriors!
That aside, it’s a fine film and if you also enjoy wartime romance movies, it’s definitely worth watching!
